Jill K. Conway

Dr. Conway, 73, a director since 1987, is currently a visiting scholar with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s program in science, technology and society. Dr. Conway was a professor of history and president of Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts, from 1975 to 1985. She was affiliated with the University of Toronto from 1964 to 1975, and held the position of vice president, internal affairs from 1973 to 1975. Dr. Conway holds numerous honorary doctorates from North American universities. She is also a director of Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. and Colgate-Palmolive Company.
