Nike names Domingo Garcia Chief Tax Officer

Beaverton, OR (19 May 2006) – NIKE, Inc today announced that Domingo Garcia is joining the company as Chief Tax Officer, beginning May 30.

Garcia will be responsible for Nike’s worldwide tax planning, tax compliance and tax accounting activities. He replaces Dennis Peterson, who has retired after a 27-year career with Nike, and will report to Chief Financial Officer Don Blair.

Most recently, Garcia served as Director of International Tax at Dell. He brings 16 years of corporate tax management experience from companies including Amoco, PepsiCo and Agilent. He holds bachelor’s and law degrees from Harvard University and began his career as a tax attorney in Chicago.
