Environmental Safety & Health Specialist - 2nd Shift - Memphis - ,

As our Environmental Safety & Health (ESH) Specialist, you'll lead the implementation of ESH policies and procedures. You'll also be accountable for developing training materials that support ESH programs. You'll promote employee awareness of ESH through training and continual company-wide communication. You'll also develop, implement and maintain ESH performance measurement programs, including tracking and reporting progress. You'll provide expert technical assistance to the department and the business units. This opportunity also involves representing Nike in internal and external working groups, committees and conferences involving ESH. You'll build effective relationships with the corporate ESH network to ensure system consistency. You'll also ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations pertaining to ESH standards. You'll interface with regulatory agencies and assist during regulatory inspections; develop and manage an accident and injury investigation program; and conduct accident and injury investigations to identify root causes and eliminate potential hazards and reoccurrences. In addition, you'll participate at the initiation phase of equipment installation and set-up to assist in design for safety, health, ergonomic and environmental principles

As our Receptionist, you'll answer and screen internal and external phone calls and direct calls to appropriate individuals or departments according to established performance standards in order to ensure a high level of customer service. You'll greet, register and assign guest passes to all visitors, notify appropriate individuals of each visitor's arrival and follow through to ensure visitors do not wait in the lobby for an extended period of time. You'll also receive, record, track and distribute all airline tickets, expense checks and packages to employees. In addition, you'll act as an information resource for visitors, employees, phone operations and issues, employee seating locations, mail issues, conference room locations, package, airline ticket and expense deliveries, department reference information and contact names. All candidates must successfully complete a thorough background investigation prior to receiving any offer of employment from Nike.

As our Security Officer, you'll provide protection for Nike personnel, property and guests using the highest standards of professional security service. You'll patrol assigned areas and promptly investigate and report unusual or suspicious situations, including fire or life safety hazards, and log reports in a clear, concise and accurate manner for potential follow-up by third party departments. You'll also monitor Nike activities and access to facilities using various security-specific software applications, CCTV, and fire and phone systems. In addition, you'll dispatch officers appropriately and actively participate in training requirements to continuously improve security skills.

As our Wellness Coordinator, with WC management and team, you'll develop a plan of action in line with Nike's strategic corporate initiatives. You'll conceptualize programs that support these initiatives surpassing the needs of employees and family members. You'll analyze statistical information from program results to identify trends and utilization in order to track progress and future programming needs that fit within the WC business plan and budget. You'll review and interpret information passed along from the WC management and contributing Nike departments outside the WC to determine what services will best achieve the WC strategic initiatives. You'll build a strong network of reliable vendors/contractors by selecting each upon evaluation of technical expertise and services within the community. You'll work with Nike Legal to ensure quality service by developing contracts specific to vendors and contractors. You'll build an on-line schedule utilizing existing template and create verbiage for marketing these services to Nike employees and their families. You'll develop marketing strategies and collaborate with Sports Center Marketing Team to implement the communication of health/wellness programming. You'll also conduct cost analysis and forecast financial expenditure for design and implementation of current and future health/wellness programming to reflect budget responsibility. Based on this information, you'll create programs from beginning to end, including program logistics, scheduling, marketing strategies, and purchasing of associated equipment and supplies. And upon completion of program, you'll report final project expenditures, obtain customer feedback, and conduct self-evaluation. You'll utilize this information to determine how to improve future programs. You'll conduct research current methods of fitness testing to ensure that Nike's Fitness Testing Services continue to exceed client expectations. Using ACSM standards as a guide, you'll conduct assessments to determine client results for body composition, blood pressure, cardio respiratory, muscular endurance, flexibility, lung function, resting heart rate and rhythm, exercise and recovery data; analyze results of above fitness tests and educate clients on their current fitness level, their risk for various diseases and the impact of this risk on their current health status. Based on client's motivation level and commitment, you'll determine best approach for improvement and develop a personalized program with client driven goals for future follow up. You'll also coach client through behavior change process. You'll also collaborate with contracted cardiologists to review EKG data. In the event that an abnormality is found, you'll notify client of cardiologist's finding and educate them on the importance of follow up with their own doctor. You'll require physician clearance for future fitness testing. In addition, you'll maintain certification and achieve continuing education in the field of nutrition, coaching, behavior change, exercise science and safety/first aid.

Lifeguard/Swim Instructor - Part-time - ,

As our Part-time Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, you'll provide for the safety and well being of Nike Sports Center members by demonstrating preventative life guarding skills and techniques; and providing professional high-quality instruction in a variety of swim techniques and aquatic fitness for all skill levels, and creating an environment that succeeds in offering the highest quality of safety and service. You'll recognize non-life threatening and life threatening situations and quickly assess the level and type of assistance required. You'll also administer first aid, emergency, rescue techniques and resuscitation, and determine if additional emergency assistance is needed; perform quality checks and water chemical level checks and respond to reports from members regarding pool and pool equipment; and teach a variety of swim and aquatic exercise classes in accordance with a defined program. In addition, you'll attend monthly in-service training to ensure technical and professional expertise is current with industry and Sports Center standards and practices. To ensure that we continue to hire competent, ethical and trustworthy individuals, all candidates must successfully complete a thorough background investigation prior to receiving any offer of employment from Nike. Shifts include: Wednesdays - 3:45-6:45pm, Saturdays - 8:45am-12:30pm and Sundays - 9:45am-4:30pm.
