Mind readers wanted.

Consumers today are more sophisticated and better educated than in any previous generation. They decide what they want and when they want it. At Nike, our challenge is to anticipate what they'll want and be ready with a solution. When we're really good, it's something -- a product, a service, a whatever -- that's so intuitively perfect the consumer hasn't even imagined it could exist. Your job? To make sure we know our consumers better than we know ourselves.

But you knew that already, didn't you?

The primary focus of a Product Line Manager is to meet the unique footwear product needs of an assigned category. This dictates consumer interaction with strategically selected travel (for example, two days to be spent at retail, working on the sales floor; three days to be spent directly with consumers in other settings, e.g., events or focus groups) to expand knowledge of this category's true target market. You'll be responsible for keeping product line plans updated on a timely basis. You'll be accountable for keeping the product line plans well-synchronized with the marketing strategy and assisting the Category Footwear Product Director and category Product Line Managers in the market planning process and the strategic line planning process. You'll provide the Design and Development teams with timely, visual and factual cues to motivate and inspire the teams in the product process. Briefing should be achieved through formal seasonal presentations and/or ongoing informal interaction with the Design and Development team from line conceptualization all the way through to product confirmation. You'll be responsible for the presentation of product lines to audiences and/or various marketing venues: Pre-Lines, Strategic Roll Outs (SRO's), Sales Meetings, Sales Management, and the NIKE Sales force at Seasonal Pre-Lines, Footwear Sales management meetings and Sales Meetings.
Brand Merchant - Apparel - ,

The heart of Nike is built around one simple idea -- innovate. Whether that innovation is called Nike Air or ACG or Nike Swift or Nike Shox, the principle is the same: think something that nobody has thought before, or improve something that already exists. It's how we create our products, and it's the way we treat the people we work with.

So take chances. Think bigger than the next achiever. Just know one thing. The more you succeed, the higher we'll raise the bar.

But would you really want it any other way?

As one of our Brand Merchants, you'll be responsible for commercializing the product line to ensure a premium consumer experience. You'll also be responsible for assorting cross-category product collections by gender, account, and/or marketplace. In partnership with the Regional Product Merchandising team, you'll identify potential gaps in line plans and make recommendations for possible Quick Strike and Special Make Up product needs. You'll drive effective go-to-market strategy by product type - flow, models, SKUs, price consistency, margin, and franchises. You'll create marketplace assortments using analytical data such as trends, sell-through and consumer insights. You'll collaborate with the Regional Category Merchandising teams on assortment planning to support the Global Category Strategy and hit regional marketplace deliverables while balancing the integrity of the seasonal category stories with the channel opportunities offered in the Region. You'll resolve any pricing issues across categories. You'll own cross-category revenue targets by season including regional profitability and margins. In addition, you'll create and update seasonal forecasts.
