      <description>&lt;DIV&gt;Converse is seeking a global Senior Manager of Consumer Insights. This position is responsible for defining and driving operational and strategic shifts by identifying, sourcing and leading qualitative and quantitative based research and insight. Importantly, Consumer Insights will not only drive actionable insight at the category level, but will also lead transformative insight work to support strategy development at the corporate and senior leadership team level.&lt;/DIV&gt;

&lt;DIV STYLE="font-weight: bold"&gt;CATEGORY-BASED CONSUMER INSIGHT&lt;/DIV&gt;
&lt;DIV&gt;Consumer insight to support growth across both footwear and apparel wholesale and licensee businesses (over $2B sales globally) along the key product development process. Specifically, for the footwear businesses category insight support will focus on the pre-season ideation and strategy development as well as post initial product concept review to solicit and synthesize consumer product feedback. Work will also involve specific initiative-based research programs to be discussed in concert with product leadership and the innovation group.&lt;/DIV&gt;

&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Recommend and manage all facets of brand/ consumer research, concept research, prototype and product research&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Responsible for serving as the internal research and planning expert and also playing an integral role in the way the company ideates and innovates&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Develop best-in-class research creation and execution, including high-level business action steps based on data to ensure the consumer voice informs development and optimization of product and marketing programs&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Research, uncover and drive concepts that meet key unmet consumer needs and, therefore, drive business opportunity&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Champion a culture of deep target consumer understanding and empathy that becomes internalized by business partners (product, merchandising, sales, brand) and emerges as a foundational element for key decisions and the go-to-market process.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Foster strong cross-functional relationships and external partnerships; ensure insights are co-owned and advanced within the organization&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;LI&gt;Develop, source, execute, synthesize and relay findings of global brand and consumer tracking, leveraging Nike, Inc. resources where appropriate.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Provides strategic thought leadership around the business implications of external consumer and marketplace knowledge and ensures that it is build into the strategic planning and decision making process and growth agenda&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Report on findings both directly (via presentations, scorecards etc) to senior leadership team as well as through presentations/ internal meetings and reports to broader Converse community.&lt;/LI&gt;
